Sukrit Yothi praised his Nongbua Pitchaya for a gritty performance which helped them tame Ratchaburi in a high-scoring Thai League 1 thriller on Friday night.
The 5-3 home victory over higher-ranked Ratchaburi has kept Nongbua above the three-team relegation zone, but it is also remarkable because they were reduced to 10 men after Jakkrawut Songma was sent off in the 81st minute.
Nongbua head coach Sukrit said after the match: “It was a good game for us. We played according to the plan and everyone contributed to this win.
“While it is good for the team that we scored many goals, it is also worrying at the same time because conceded many goals too. For the time being, let’s celebrate the three points we have picked up from this game.”
Nongbua scored through Adisak Waenlor (2), Abo Elisa (26), Jakkrawut Songma (34), Paulo Conrado (45+2) and Marcus Haber (61), while Clement Depres (51, 70) and Kim Ji-Min (90+6) were on target for Ratchaburi.
Meanwhile, arch-rivals Muang Thong United and Port will go face to face in a mouth-watering Thai League 1 encounter tonight.
